ASCENDING & DESCENDING
"Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: 'I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants." - Gen 28:12-13 The angels were ascending and descending as a form of communication with God, God stood above the ladder and angels were running errands, the Scriptures didn't specify what exactly they were doing while ascending and descending, but the line of communication they portrayed shows that a man can ascend into the very presence of God, if the access is given, then a man can hear from God.
