DON'T LOSE HOPE

"For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, and its stump may die in the ground. Yet at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant." - Job 14:7-9 If you have lost your hope, you better go and find it, he who is living without hope is not fit to live. Everyone who is living should know that hope kept you alive. Don't contemplate suicide yet, don't give in to fate yet - if there is hope then there is life. Hope keep things alive, hope keeps us running..hope is the currency of an achiever. It is possible all the chips are down, and there is no logic in hoping, it is possible that, disappointments has made you stop believing, you are even angry at anyone trying to encourage you for hope...please hope. It cannot be over except you dash your hope, it can continue if you keep your hope alive...do not think that your case is beyond ...

WITNESSES

"But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established." - Matt 18:16 One may not be able to substantiate a matter for settlement without a witness, sometimes it is hard to convict a person without witnesses. In this Christain faith, we need witnesses to go through matters, we need someone to bear witnesses of our trials, sometimes we need a witness to help us tell God that our case is worthy of attention. We will serve as witnesses for one another so that our integrity can be firm, even when we do not call anyone to witness, by default we live in this world to stand as witness for and against each other - the devil even stand as witness to punish a sinner or an erring Christian. O, how we need witnesses to get inspired by our walk with God, how we need witnesses to remind us and encourage us of the exploits in time past, we also need willing witnesses to testify of the wondrous and mira...

GOD CANNOT LIE!

"God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged" - Heb 6:18 We know God to be righteous and true and we know Him to be true to His word; these are true attributes of God that cannot be faulted at anytime. But to state or emphasize here that 'God cannot lie' is borne out of certain conditions of the earth today. When a promise is delayed we may not say it, but we may feel God has not been true to His promise, we have therefore implied that He lied. There are times when everything will seem contrary to what He has said, but does this make God a liar? Why does He keep dashing hopes as some would say and imply He has lied. Certain people have lost hope, certain people have stopped declaring the promises, some have started to live life anyhow - saying that God is not dependable; yet it is them who have not been true! They have breeched the ter...

THE SECRET LIFE

"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." - Heb 4:13 Everyone has a secret life, there is something about your life that no ones sees, yet speaks volume on the outside. Sometimes, you meet a brother who runs everywhere looking dedicated to God, but a contact with him and you just see emptiness - this is because the secret life is not right or he has no secret life with God. What happens when no one is watching? Even your thought-life is part of your secret life, do you go about being hypocritical and yet you have no life worthy of praise in the secret. It is possible you think God assesses you based on your public life, but please, God is concerned about the secret. In the bathroom, where no one can see you, in school far away from your parents, in the cover of the dark, what do you do. A secret life with God is an open platform of the manifestation of power and grace. Do not take...

I AM POSSIBLE

"But Jesus looked at them and said to them, 'With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" - Matt 19:26 The above scripture refers to a man who needed help for his soul, he wasn't contended with himself because there was disquiet in his soul. He was wealthy and almost had it all, but he desperately needed God. When Jesus spoke back to him and told him to sell all he had, the man became sad and it seemed to Jesus' disciples that salvation was impossible for the man. Many times, because of the stigma we have, because of the many friends we have, because of the mistakes we have made - we and even those around us think that genuine salvation is impossible. But, dear friend, it is only with man that a new creation is impossible - but with God, a man who believes with God can get genuine salvation. O, how we need a miracle of ourselves - how we need to look at ourselves and say it is a miracle that I am happy, it is a miracle that I am n...

CALL HIS NAME

"And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the LORD." - Gen 4:26 When will you start calling on the name of God in truth? This is not about the regular prayer or OMGs will scream at every place, calling on the name of the Lord will require a new phase of life. I do not know what happened from the beginning and why man did not call on the name of the Lord, but for the Scriptures to highlight such an event here is weighty and cannot be glossed over. There comes a time in a person's life where they should begin to call on Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour, there should be a time when a situation will make us call God by His name. There definitely will be a time when calling on the name of God will sooth our souls and heal our pains. Direction may be lost, confusion may be the happening, the name will regulate our lives. The name of the Lord is not an appendage for every wish, no! It is a valid expr...

WORTHY IS THE LAMB

"saying with a loud voice: 'Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honour and glory and blessing!'" - Rev 5:12 He paid the price of sin with His blood, He became a Lamb. Without the shedding of blood, there can be no remission of sin - Jesus shed His blood - He became a Lamb. So mighty yet so lowly, so pure yet laid His life down for the sins of men. Glorious in majesty, He took the appellation of Lamb. What the blood of rams and bulls could not do, this King who was without stain or blemish did. The guilt the world was perpetually doomed to bear, was taken away by a King, He came to pay the price. His blood was the atonement for the human race. I find no one so worthy to adore, I find no being that can measure up to the height, I missed the good intentions of mortals, but only to cast down crowns and worship that King of the universe who became the sacrificial Lamb of God. This Lamb understood the purpose of Hi...

KNOWING GOD

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and His ways past finding out!" - Rom 11:33 No description of God is sufficient or accurate to tell of His being, from the beginning, the world has been on a quest of finding out who God is, and really no one has come to a full comprehension of the person of God. If we know this spiritual being in full, then He is not worthy to be our God! The believer's life can be summed up in the quest of finding out who God is. We sometimes would disagree on His nature, some would feel He isn't merciful, some would confuse His judgement and His mercy...but it is important to let every man know that the level of our revelation is proportional to our level of adoration or worship. What we have of Him convincingly forms the element of our worship. What we know of Him is the bedrock of our faith. Over the years our description of God has just been mere comparison with what s...

DEAR MINISTER,

"Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called." - 1Cor 7:20 While it might have been a different context that Apostle Paul made this statement, I am also very sure that it is relevant to the ministry that we were called to serve. It is necessary this day to admonish us on the need to remain in the place of calling or ministry as the case may apply. We have many confused and focus-less servants around today, many have become busybodies neglecting the work they were called to do, going about criticising as many fellow ministers as possible to make a name. Many, never got a specific mandate but are running. It is indeed needful to state here that staying in the place of our call will connote faithfulness and diligence, staying in the place of our call will require sacrifice and focus. We may be famous but have lost the mandate. It is possible to have charisma and all that, yet such a person may have digressed from the message God has given to us. No min...

DOERS ONLY!

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was." - James 1:22-24 One of the greatest tragedy of a man is self-deception, our churches are filled with people who are very very and very hungry for the revelation of the word yet these same people are terribly reluctant to do the word. This is nothing but self-deception. It is possible to be a hearer of the word and not a doer, but it is impossible to be a doer of the word without first being a hearer. In fact it is good to hear the word, but what makes the word yield fruits has to be in the doing. We have come to know every root word of the scripture yet the word is not rooted. How come there are strivings amongst us brethren, how come there is hatred in the church, poverty holds sway because we don'...

TRUTH BE TOLD

"For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth." - 2Cor 13:8 Nothing remains constant than the truth, nothing is more reliable than that which is constant - the truth. Heaven and earth can pass away but the truth will abide forever. The whole statistics can tell of something, but the truth may tell otherwise. Your evasive attitude to the Word of God does not alter it one bit, your criticism and refusal to follow the Scripture, because you want to be realistic does not change the truth or its Author. The prevailing circumstances does not also change the truth. Whatever is intended against the truth will turn out to be for it. When men say that modernity cannot permit chastity or purity, it doesn't make the truth obsolete, in fact it makes it stand out the more...when there is a struggle to accept the truth or be convinced by it - such dispositions only makes the truth firmer. You can't fault it, you can't bend it. If there is nothing we can do ...
