BE A MAN
"Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business" - Acts 6:3
Men of good reputation are becoming scarce in the society today, many men think it is six packs that makes a man, they think getting a woman pregnant is the prove of their MANhood. We no longer count wisdom as a good quality. Integrity is thrown out of the window and men are hustling everyday and the real worth of men is lost.
Whatever happened to a good name is better than riches? Even when the king of Babylon was looking for able bodied men, Daniel and friends possessed the wisdom to choose the right diet. When Moses needed men to assist in counselling and judging, it was integrity that was first pointed out. Today, in my generation, we have lost almost all the men.
Wisdom for Egypt was found in the prison, wisdom for the kings of Babylon, it was found in men who were slaves, Mordecai was a gateman yet he could naturally just fit into the palace because he was a MAN. We see men flaunting wealth today and children as assets but they have no honour. A man who cannot rule over his home and punches his wife should maybe be castrated.
Deacons and pastors are ordained, yet they have children of questionable character...we cannot find a man who can command his home and he still goes about walking with a sense of entitlement and lording it over every feminine figure and stating that being a man is an added input in the curriculum vitae.
Manhood has nothing to do with your wealth, it has nothing to do with your physique really, all these are inclusive but not the primary measure of who a man is.
Several things will be assessed today, from chastity, to conduct and even to spirituality.
SOME BAD BROTHERS
"But Onan knew that the heir would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his brother's wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he should give an heir to his brother." - Gen 38:9
Go and marry you refused, choose one out of the sisters you say God has not spoken, why then will you not control yourself...Onan did not disagree to enter into the room with his late brother's wife.. He enjoyed the sex but will not want to become a father. Such an offence yielded a death penalty.
Some men have refused to repent and they die and kill their destinies daily. Anytime they want sex and not commitment, they have killed virtue inside them. You get a lady pregnant and you're saying you're not ready, at your young age - you have started loosing seeds. All these boys that don't know the power of sex are remaining boys and will never grow.
We have brethren who are emitting on the floor through masturbation and they say it is not a big deal...they have refuse to be chaste both outwardly and inwardly...they form righteousness because they have not been caught...brother, where is the love of God in your heart? Where is purity in your worship.
"However, he would not heed her voice; and being stronger than she , he forced her and lay with her. Then Amnon hated her exceedingly, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, 'Arise and be gone!'" - 2 Sam 13:14-15
So you did not know that you were a leader before you started tapping current abi, ehrm so now she's acting like a baby because the church council has heard? This is the wickedness that is making the heavens weep.

Original king James version used the word "men" for the "mature". It therefore shows that it is expected of men to possess understanding naturally, we expect a man to think straight devoid of emotional bias and yet still be able to rightly bring solution to issues.
Wisdom is not a function of age, the age of Methuselah has nothing to do with the wisdom of Solomon, when an adult still acts like a teenager, there is growth deficient and it really calls for concern.
Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men. In this generation many are growing in stature and retarding in wisdom, we have misplaced height and puberty for manhood. If we don't begin to buy wisdom and be diligent not to sell, the decadence of this world will increase. A guy who is more concerned about his looks more than responsibility is a child.
"Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, and your princes feast in the morning!" - Ecc 10:16
This piece is not a men only thing, if the female folks do not know what to expect, they will be at the receiving end of this anomaly. If daughters of Zion cannot discern between a man and a boy, they would be undergoing an acid test for marriage.
When a man is still be awaken from bed when he is suppose to be working, then we must begin to pray hard, if you can't show independence of mind in taking decisions..every of your dependents will be walking on a landmine that may soon explode.
Wisdom is the principal thing, begin to seek wisdom from the Lord. Begin to take heed of the things you have heard. Begin to pray that the Spirit of wisdom as it was with Joseph, Daniel, Solomon and even Jesus be imparted in you. It is wisdom that makes men and not gra-gra (aggressiveness). A man by nature may be aggressive, but if there is no wisdom to it...there is need to worry.
WOMAN RELATION
"Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity." - 1Tim 5:1-2
Until she is your wife, you must treat her as your sister, and if there's no commitment involved, you must also treat her as a sister still. The love a brother has for a sister has to be pure except the devil is already renting an apartment in your heart to involve in incest.
Why do we find immorality in the church? Something that's not suppose to be heard - yet we cannot deny this scourge is in our midst. Is it that the brothers have too much testosterone running in them or is it that they have not been able to bring their bodies into subjection.
It is possible to be 'anointed' yet addicted to pornography, it is possible to be a word person, yet masturbation is the secret life...any habit managed is disaster management that will bring you to ruin in the long run. If we don't rid ourselves of vile passions through the materials that fuel these lust. We would have ourselves to blame in the future.
"For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts" - 2Tim 3:6
Congratulations, you just gunned down a virtuous woman, but please know also that you too have fallen from grace, when a man cannot preserve the virtue of a lady, his character and spirituality is called to question.
We may not even understand that the reason why the lady is looking for a godly brother is so that someone can preserve that holy seed in her...but O, how the mighty are fallen.
Joseph did not know her until she brought forth her firstborn Son...Bro Joseph was determined to see that the prophecy of a virgin giving birth was fulfilled. The virgin has conceived yes, but the virgin had not delivered, so he had to hold himself so that the prophecy has to be fulfilled. How we have become lustful that we have become lost!
There are brothers who have crept into the church to lead silly women captive, they seem charismatic but lack depth...they look good and speak the language of love but they have come to do the women folk hate. Sisters, discernment is key... They may be called brethren but they are devils.
BE A HUSBAND & FATHER
"And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church." - 1 Cor 14:35
It is to the shame of the husband if the wife cannot find answers in him, a man must be a residual of knowledge that makes the wife sure that she can not be confused.
The context of the above scriptures was borne when the gifts were at work in the church then, it was confusing and people didn't know when to say this is the gifts...so in order for everything to be done in order Paul introduced such rules.
O man, can your wife rely on your depth? Can she stop disturbing the pastor about you and the home situation? Some men have even made their wives widows even while they live. The woman has too many babies to take care of including her baby husband. Sir, please you are the head.
The roles have not changed, the principle has not been jettisoned, God still holds the man accountable for every thing that happens even from the garden of Eden and it still holds till today.
"So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive." - 1Sam 30:3
Some men will begin to say 'thank God I am still alive, I can have other children', that is why it is confusing when it is the women that are in majority when we are shouting 'bring back our girls'...this is an anomaly, this is not godly..David wouldn't even dare stay and accept fate because the men were thinking of stoning him.
