HARVEST
"Do not say, 'there are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" - John 4:35
Anyone who does not see the harvest is indeed short-sighted and the head in bowed down.
If we miss the time of harvest, then we have postponed the day of joy and will definitely be reaping the wind when we are supposed to be blessed.
When harvest is left, decadence will set in; we must not be deceived, if we do not harvest souls urgently, if we do not harvest seeds planted long ago - the world will experience more decadence.
It doesn't matter who planted, it doesn't matter who did the watering, it indeed does not count for anything those who ploughed or tilled the ground. The Lord of harvest, the Lord who gives increase, says it is time!
Remember it is those who go into the field that he pays...it is those who will harvest that is blessed, he that does not harvest will not eat.
No sensible farmer will pride in white fields un-harvested. If you miss the time of harvest, you will miss your blessings and eat your seeds.
Raise your head and see the harvest!
HARVEST OF THE WORD
"so the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed." - Acts 19:20
Yes, the word too gets ripe. The parable of the sower comes to play here, he sowed on different grounds. While Jesus walked the earth, He went about sowing the 'seed-word' in the good ground, that is the heart of men.
When a man allows the Word to be sown in His life; no one will doubt the harvest. God begins to confirm His word in the mouth of men.
This is the reason why the Word of God has different effects with everyone, some people quote scriptures yet little effect is seen and some quote the simplest, yet men are down on their knees...it is a prove that, they are harvesting the word in their lives.
We are indeed in the harvest season, - it is therefore important to know and note and be aware that, great exploits or anything that will draw men vertically upward will have it's root in the Word.
"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it will accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." - Isaiah 55:11
What is the Word that has been spoken to you a while ago and it looks as if there's no result, it is possible a prophecy has gone ahead of you and yet it tarries. Raise your head brother, the harvest is here.
Though it was the Word that was sown then, yet it is the harvest of wonders that you will reap. It was 'just' a word you encountered, yet that it is the passage of your breakthrough.
Jesus asked us to lift our eyes and see the harvest, I also admonish you to lift your eyes. The harvest is here indeed.
HARVEST OF JOY
"Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, and bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." - Psalm 127:5-6
The scenario given above can be explained thus: You only had 10naira in your hands and of course you're hungry, because 10naira won't go anywhere in feeding you - you decided to sow it as offering in the church.
You have made a painful sacrifice to God's work or to His name, maybe you have emptied your account just to help a friend.
The Lord saw your pain and hunger, He saw the sacrifices you've made on your children, and of course what you've suffered because of this sacrifice...Raise your head the harvest is ready.
Tears cannot germinate, tears can only water the things you planted...don't just go appearing before God as if you're rewriting the book of lamentations, go and sow then let tears do the watering.
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him." - Gen 26:12
The time Isaac sowed was the time of famine and he would have looked foolish as he was contemplating going to Egypt at that time.
But God knows and is also telling us something now...why do you want to backslide because it looks good from where you're coming from.
The Lord has seen the labour you have done for His name and His house, the Lord knew it and did not forget your sacrifice...the Lord saw how you left all and followed Him - raise up your head sister, the harvest is here.
It seems you were deprived of benefits then, because you didn't compromise the faith, you were denied promotion because you didn't sign that fraudulent document - raise your head, the harvest has come.
Don't be bitter, the Lord saw how the relationship ended because you wouldn't sleep with him much less get pregnant before marriage - these are painful seeds of righteousness you have sown. Yes you cried while he left - but please, raise your head and claim the harvest in joy.
Raise your head and you'll see your harvest of joy (it is prophetic).
HARVEST OF SOULS
"And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, 'thrust in Your sickle to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.' So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped." - Rev 14:15-16
My friend, the best of harvest is that of souls. It is eternally rewarding and earthly beneficial.
The man who commits his life to the harvest of souls, commits his life to heavenly insurance and also commits Himself to stay put on the way.
There is a measure of God in every man on earth, the atheist inclusive. Everyman will look for a higher being to submit to. This is the seed of God, and we must be awaken to the harvest before us. Remember, a harvest not reaped, will further decay the society.
Don't you for a moment entertain the thought that anyone has gone beyond redemption, the measure of God in everyman in an investment.
More so, there is a greater investment made on their behalf, which is the precious blood of Jesus - would you not see the need for a harvest?
"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase." - 1 Cor 3:6-7
The God of increase has seen the planting and watering of saints, and the harvest is endless.
I know for certainty in my heart, that the world is largely unreached and they are waiting to be enriched with God.
The one who win souls is wise (Prov 11:30)
CONCLUSION
The man who knows there's a harvest is one who actually harvest. If you don't know, you'll suffer from the decay.
