HAVE YOU SEEN JESUS?
"The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, 'behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world'" - John 1:29
Have you seen the Lamb of God who can save the world? Have you had an encounter with divinity and as a result changed your life? Jesus is not obscured to the one who wants to see Him, all you need do is to gaze with the eyes of faith.
When Hagar met the angel in the wilderness, she said; 'have I also here seen Him who sees me? She wasn't so sure of the person she saw but she knew and was assured it was divine and at such a time when she was in great distress, just the sight of an angel brought hope of a life time.
Jacob saw the Lord and what he resolved after such encounter was that his life is preserved.
We all will have different reactions and resolutions after we see Him who takes away the sin of the world. But the most important thing is to see Him else our sins and pains would remain with us.
I do not know how many highly placed persons you've seen in your lifetime or which celebrity you have made an idol, but dear friend. Behold! The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.
Have you seen the Messiah and you didn't know He is able to lift the burdens off you.
When Nathaniel heard that Jesus had been 'found'; he wasn't excited, in fact he questioned the authenticity of Jesus' city. But though he was skeptical, one encounter turned his life around.
Though, you don't see the big deal with this Jesus whom we proclaim and call everywhere, I employ or urge you dear friend to Just behold the Lamb of God.
SEE HIM TO LIVE
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:14-15
The bronze serpent was the saving grace for the rebellious and stubborn children of Israel in the wilderness. And though that wasn't a permanent solution yet it was a sort of a foretelling of the coming of Jesus. Anyone whom Satan the serpent, had bitten with pains, trouble and the yoke of sin. Jesus must now be looked upon so you can live.
The one who doesn't look at Jesus would die, if you don't get to see Jesus now. The serpent would bite the more.
To believe in your heart that Jesus is able to save is to behold Him.
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14
No one can really live life without grace or the truth which sets every man free. To turn a blind eye to the only begotten of the Father is to be in darkness and live without hope.
For you to live, you must, yes must look upon Him who lives forever!
Why did Zacchaeus go through such stress to behold Jesus? - friend, though life may have limited you and you seem disadvantage, can you step away from the crowd that chokes grace out of your life and behold the one full of grace and truth.
When Zacchaeus saw Jesus, him who was short leaped and grew in grace. You need to see Jesus.
SEE HIM BEFORE YOU LEAVE
"Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word; for my eyes have seen Your salvation." - Luke 2:29-30
Any man who leaves this earth without seeing Jesus is doomed. Simon waited to see Jesus before he could depart in peace. If a man doesn't see Jesus before leaving the earth, he would depart in pieces and be doomed.
It was an assured case for Simon, revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he wouldn't die until he saw Jesus.
My friend, no one really knows the time of his or her departure, but one who has seen Jesus is assured of heaven.
Anytime you hear the spoken word in truth, it is an opportunity to behold the Lamb of God. And if you don't see, then you have no one to blame.
"If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes." - Job 14:14
There is no other life apart from this one you are living here, and if all through these hardship and struggle of this world you don't get to see Him who brings salvation. Then, it is left to you.
It is appointed for a man once to die but after this, it is judgement! (Heb 9:27)
The grace that brings salvation has appeared to all, though you may know He has appeared, yet you have refused to behold His face.
Friend, don't leave this earth without seeing Him.
HE WHO HAS SEEN HIM HAS SEEN THE FATHER
"Philip said to Him, 'Lord show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.' Jesus said to him, 'have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, so how can you say, show us the Father?'" - John 14:9-10
It is possible for you to have met Jesus and not know who He is. Philip was asking for the extraordinary. He forgot that the appearance of God in the old testament was too frightening to anyone.
In Jesus dwells the Godhead bodily and we must realise that though the appearance of Jesus might be simplistic and maybe the heavens are not thundering yet it is with faith that we make us connect when we see.
"Jesus said to Him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" - John 14:6
You can't say you believe in God and deny the person of Jesus. To behold is to look to Jesus. To experience Jesus is to experience God and to experience God is to experience Jesus.
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
WHAT DID YOU SEE?
"Then He struck the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD....." - 1Sam 6:19
What loomed like mere inquisitiveness became what brought torment to 50, 070 men. They wanted to look into the ark out of curiosity and not because they wanted to be affected by God.
Everyone who sees Jesus must encounter life and must be transformed, if not, you haven't seen anything and it is death that still awaits such a person.
"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." - 2Cor 3:18
The old time have passed and the veil of separation has been torn. Now the Lord wants us to come close and behold His glory and be transformed into His image.
Don't look for curiosity sake as it is curiosity that kills the cat. Look and see Jesus and be transformed.
Conclusion: You must see Him to Live, before you leave and then you will see the Father.
God bless you and I love you
