IN ITS TIME
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end." - Ecc 3:11
The way we pray against delay may not always be in accordance with God's plans for us. I am not in anyway saying that delays do not occur in the spiritual realm, of course they do; but we have also misinterpreted the place of patience for delays. When the Lord makes a man happy, the time of waiting becomes irrelevant.
What should be our lot when time seem to drag concerning His promises over us, at those weird times, when it seems our lives are on hold because of that one thing that wouldn't just come to pass, how should we respond at this time. At such a time, if the believer's faith is intact and the relationship with God is healthy, we will be still and we will know that He is God. Even while we pray, we will feel that He is close.
What the Lord will do in two years time, it is advisable for you to pray to find grace to wait. The children of Issachar understood the times, they knew what Israel ought to do, and their brothers were at their command. If we don't know the time, we may be waiting when we are suppose to be claiming, but in all of these; the Lord can never be late.
I do not picture this great God as anxious, I do not think anything moves Him to be less of God; anytime a prayer is answered, He owns the time and can lay claim of such an event happening in that time. The Lord cannot be late. But in the midst of our waiting, we must pray that we do not end in despair, we must hope in the God that will make it all beautiful. When the Lord will step into our case, I hope we recognise His acts.
Sometimes, waiting appears as torture, it sometimes will be torture, it may be filled with tears and anguish, yet if it is not in its time for a thing, it will not be beautiful. I sincerely at this time do not think I have all the understanding in this regards, it is more of a matter to ponder than a teaching.
WHEN HE SEEMS LATE
"So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was." - John 11:6
It appeared as if Jesus wasn't concerned about the welfare of Lazarus at the time He heard of his sickness, this man was in pains and if only Jesus had moved at that point which he heard, maybe Lazarus wouldn't have died. To us in the faith today, we would have rained fire and brimstone on the spirit of delay and we may not just know that the Lord is taking His time.
There are times when God seem silent or maybe it seems our voices isn't passing the roof, personally, I feel it is the silence that causes more pains. Mary and Martha would have had their eyes on the road, praying and hoping that the next 'shalom' would be Jesus at the door, no, it was another sympathiser, who just came by, even while on the sick bed, Lazarus would have wondered why Jesus delayed. In all these their sorrows increased, yet the Lord took His time.
For someone out there reading this piece, you may not be angry that the Lord is not showing up, but you may have started converting your faith to fate; and you may be too blind to understand the timing of Yaweh. Please, understand that the Lord will make it all beautiful in its time.
"Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, 'After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?'" - Gen 18:12
Sarah was implying that, where were the angels when she was in her late forties and that time, she trusted God with all her heart, why didn't they prophesy then, with that sarcastic laugh, she gave her own verdict - and said God was late! Though she didn't have anything against them, in fact, she was preparing a meal for them, but she had zeroed her mind.
If God remains God, even though the case is said to be closed, if He says you will make it, though it sounds like a jest, just be rest assured that, He will make it beautiful in its own time. We are quick to set a time frame for God, forgetting that He Himself created the time and made the natural things natural, He could alter them if He wills.
I am definitely referring to that person in dire need of a miracle. You think that you are not worthy of that miracle any more, you just think that God is already late, or better still, you think that you started believing late, but nothing can be farther from the truth. If you have a hope, it will never be cut off.
WHEN YOU ARE OVERDUE
"Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years." - Exo 12:40
Some trying times may have been predestined by God and of course going through such times may be normal, but how blessed we all would be, if we recognise that we have overstayed in a particular spot. The word that came to Abraham in Gen 15:13 is that, they were meant to be in Egypt for four hundred years, on whose account would they write the extra 30years? That is when we need to cry out to God for Him to intervene.
Sometimes, due to our non-conforming to the time of our making and processing, we may extend the time or delay the prophecy a little longer. It will be better if we understand the times and it will do us good if we stay and allow God to make us through those rough times.
In the phase of wilderness, temptations will arise, and there is no promotion by trial with God, if you pass through the process as at when due, you automatically qualify for a breakthrough. The Lord is not slack concerning His promises nor is He unjust, when the appointed time comes, He wIll hear your cry.
"In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem." - Daniel 9:2
The man who does not know his time of freedom will never demand for freedom, he will stay in chains and become satisfied with his misery. Everyone needs to know the time of their independence, everyone need to understand when to demand their freedom, everyone must know when to persevere in prayers.
Daniel understood through books, if you can encounter truth, you would have gone half way through your freedom, if you walk in that truth; you will definitely be free. The reason why you are still in that matter right now, is because you haven't found sufficient truth to lose yourself from the enemy's grip.
"This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare" - 1Tim 1:18
Please understand that the devil won't fold his restless hands so that the prophecies will be fulfilled, there is a need to know the prophecy well and wage a good warfare, so that the prophecy will not be delayed. Many people do nothing about the good promises of God upon them, they think that by knowing, it clearly means achieving.
The prophecies spoken to us are suppose to give us focus and direction, they are meant to help us disagree with the devil's agenda over our lives. No one should just sit there and allow delay hook them all in the name of 'but You said', yes He said, but you must fight for it.
NOW IS THE TIME
"You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come." - Psalm 102:13
This is the set time for your breakthrough and this words above are to make you either wage your war or understand that you are due for your promotion. You are to be motivated to demand for your freedom, this whole new testament era is a time of setting the captives free, you have encountered truth - please demand and fight for your freedom.
I need you to start making enquiry of why you are still in that state of despair, you just may be thinking it is God's will for you to be in that state, but friend, if you will do a searching and find understanding you will not perish in that state of despair. The word of God is suppose to be the trigger for your breakthrough prayers. If you can't find your freedom charge in the word, you may be waiting amiss and praying amiss.
How many have become unduly satisfied in their worried state, how many have thought that their time is past, don't you know that by mercy, He will arise and favour you? Why not court the Lord's mercy and see Him realign the time in your favour. When the Lord says it is time, recession or the negative effects of the world has nothing to do with it.
"Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: 'None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done.' says the LORD." - Ezekiel 12:28
If your faith can rise up to the occasion of the now, there would be no postponement of His word anymore; if you can find the word for now, as long as you play your part of believing Him, the word will surely come to pass and it will be a now thing.
Isaiah 60:22 tells us that, the Lord Himself will hasten the word, that a little one will become a thousand. This is not to put you under pressure or in a hurry; but it is an assurance of that which you will receive. You can't force the times, but if you are assured, the Lord Himself will bring the Word to pass.
CONCLUSION:
Don't fret, the Lord will make it beautiful this time, He cannot be late, you can only cause a delay because you don't understand - but be aware that it is time to make it beautiful.
