END-TIME FEVER
"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." - Matt 24:24
When the matter of end-time is brought to the fore, many begin to worry and panic, some do not like matters such as this, they'd prefer the matter is left to God to decide, but we to whom it has been written to understand the times cannot just ignore the event in this present age...if we are indeed in the end-time, what does it mean for the believer and what should the unbeliever do also.
It has been long since we started hearing about this end-time that has not ended, it appears that everything bad and tragic is a sign of the end time, yet in our minds, we are somehow preparing for the worse, we are advancing in technology and social life in order to absorb the shock of the absurdity of this present age...yet, the end time fever will just keep on ringing out to the discerning and as a warning to the erring soul.
This words today, are written based on the need for you who might be His elect, not to become a casualty of the end-time. Those who are not involved in the vices, may have accepted some things in their minds, but that may be the same as been culpable of the end time vices and such a one may have turned a casualty.
The scripture says that when we see these things as it is now or even worse than it is written, we should know, the discerning should know that the end is near. The end to all things. If a student runs out of time in an exam, it doesn't matter how many answers he or she has in mind to pen...the time isn't just there to do so. If you and I know how close we are to the end, even if it cannot be measured by man's time - we would redeem the time, we would make use of our lives appropriately to please the holder of time.
While it seems that evil is prevailing in the end time, God Himself has an agenda for the children of God to show His wonders. But if a man is not walking in God's agenda for this end time, such would work the devil's agenda - and we must be careful.
MEN WOULD DEPART FROM THE FAITH
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.." - 1Tim 4:1
Do not think that those who depart from the faith have departed from the church, nothing would be more misleading than that. One of the very signs of the end-time is that religion will be pronounced but true faith, Christianity would be scarce, and we should really take note of that. Men would insist on traditions more than the word, they would justify their morals and would refuse that the Words of Jesus prevail. Many will promote their pastors as their own Christ, and nothing can be more saddening.
It is the sign of the end-time that people will be more prosperity conscious in the church, truth will be far from the pulpits and righteousness lacking in the pews, everybody would want to do what is convenient and not what is necessary. Men will silence their conscience, refusing the voice of the Holy Spirit and abusing the grace of God; giving glory to God for what was gotten by fraud..this is the end time.
I chose to bring this to the house of God first, that we should not be deceived to think that those who are inside the church are excluded from the vices of the end-time. I would like at this time to try and draw your attention to these abnormalities, so you decide by choice to be a captive or a conqueror of these times. The days are evil, the church is not spared. Many call Jesus, but it is definitely not our Saviour they are calling...their fruits do not match their words...
"But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort." - 2Tim 2:17-18
Messages that spread like cancer is of note to me at the moment, early detection is key to saving ones life as regards cancer, but many who are straying from the faith today are not aware of this danger, they are careless and mindless that spiritual death looms and lurks in the corner - they just love what these messages do to them. They say they are increasing in knowledge, but it is an increase of ego we see, they say they know who they are, but it doesn't kill any devil, they go about sharing the love without sacrifice...
At this time many have indeed departed from the faith, when the scripture uses the word departed, it appears to me as something done willingly. What happened to your church, that you have joined another that appears 'free'; is it that the word is not applicable to you or the strictness of the pastor isn't soothing. Don't be deceived by temporal charade of modern teachings, that never stood the times.
The church is gradually becoming a social affair, where competition thrives based on carnality, why should God's blessings upon another be a form of oppression, this cannot be from God. The church is becoming a place of entertainment and when the 'spirit' even moves, it is mechanical and calculated - I'm not trying to be bias here, but sometimes when the spirit only moves to dramatise or when the spirit moves only with instruments, when the spirit doesn't move us to more evangelism, then the we cannot ignore the signs of the end time.
SOCIETAL CHAOS
"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." - Matt 24:7-8
No nation is spared from disaster at this moment, where there are no natural disasters, there is moral decadence, where there are no wars, epidemics are waring against them, where there is no sodomy - corruption rules and the list and option goes on...the world has been like this for a while, yet we hold our selfish dreams tight and keep looking for an escape. I don't know whether to escape the end-time or not to be a casualty is really an option..to live in denial or becoming indifferent is pitching tent in the enemy's camp.
Everyone lives for the now, and true meaning of life is mostly absent in all our dealings...we do not even realise the vapour of man's life. The metro section of our newspapers is constantly filled with man's atrocities to man. The devil has held many captive, people are dealing with one issue the devil has caused and one wonders why such wickedness, yet most of us have consider it as normal.
Where individuals fight for human right or right of expression, it has turned out to be an avenue for disorderliness and the chief of all is that everyone wants to choose what he or she will be governed by. The world may not come to an end in 50years but life has definitely lost his bearing and we can just look and see the vanity that is everywhere.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" - 2Tim 3:1-5
The list is indeed long, but these societal abnormalities are man made. These vices do not just happen on their own, the devil seize the mind of the young and use them to actualise these end-time agenda. One can hardly look too far before one see these characters playing out. Many have considered it normal and selfishness seem to pervade everywhere, we live for the money, we are allowing gay marriages, we love ourselves before we love God...we do not inherit the good traits of our parents anymore - from these, Apostle Paul say; turn away.
One thing of note is that, Paul told Timothy, 'know this' - not to know is to be caught in the web - not to know is to be an accomplice. And now I hear one ask with sarcasm if anyone can be free from all these, but the first instruction is in knowledge - 'know this'. Do you know that being ungrateful is an exhibition of the end time agenda? Do you know that been unforgiving is actually carrying out the agenda. Litigations, divorce and many other fill the courtrooms everyday and you don't want to know that the end time is playing out.
The indifference of men of the faith is reaching an alarming rate, all in a bid to love, we are accommodating these vices. If your love will not speak against someone vices - then please you can be called an hypocrite. We must love but the love must be in truth. The dreams we have are not correcting anything, the government is at a loss to the solution of these, we run in circles and are trapped in one spot...advancement in technology or knowledge should not make us cold...the world is in a state of chaos. Know this!
THE ELECT'S STAYING POWER
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy." - Acts 2:17-18
God will not leave this earth without form or void, even as the agenda of the devil seems to be reaching an alarming rate, the power in the kingdom is also very much adequate to suppress the pressures of the world. The mighty power of God in one faithful child of His, is able to bring thousands of unbelievers who are lost to their knees. This is God's agenda for His children in this end time.
Let the child of God not give in to fate, or choose to be at the mercy of the devil - we have enough kingdom provisions to proclaim the kingdom of heaven even in this perverse generation. If it is untapped, it is because the people may be unavailable - that should not in anyway mean that the devil has an upper hand during this end time. Know this also, and tap into the resources of the kingdom, so as to dictate the tune of heaven to those around.
It will be important to know the church of Christ is not under any threat, the power remains to those who are true, and everyone who dislikes the agenda of the devil should align with God's agenda, as one cannot be said to be on the fence in this matter. Those who would be saved from all the vices of the end time are also God's instrument in these times.
"Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth." - Psalm 110:3
We are in the days of His power, to create order - to depict the kingdom, to be the light, to restore hope so all can be well, you must realise this fact and become volunteers in days like this. If you do not not volunteer yourself you may just be a casualty of the devices of the wicked, you may just be another person who needs a rescuing.
It is at a time like this that Jesus said that the gospel will be preached all over the world to stand as witness (Matt 24:14). Are you one of those we are trying to witness to or you are one of the exhibitors of the powers in the kingdom at this time. Let the reader know that until you are willing to be in God's agenda at this time - you may be slipping into the hands of the enemy.
Ephesians 5:16 says that we should redeem the time because the days are evil - do not think that there is time, even the devil knows that his time is short. One very important fact that I must state here is that; this is indeed a terrible time to live in, for the nominal Christian - one has to be strong in the side of God at this time because the pressures are indeed fierce, we must stand by the ever conquering power of the Holy Spirit, so as not to be caught in the web of this end time.
CONCLUSION: The end time is now, be aware, be in God's agenda - don't be a casualty.
