THE HAND OF GOD
"Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?" - Isaiah 53:1
The hand of the Lord can do many things, there is a spiritual significance to what the hand of the Lord does. We the creation are the works of His hands. It is by revelation that we understand the hand of God.
If the hand of the Lord comes upon a person - it will surely perform, if the hand of the Lord is seen, it is a message to somebody. God uses His hand to deliver, to save, to create, to bless, to show mercies and many other mighty works. If the hand of the Lord is revealed unto a man - He sure must experience the work of God.
When the Lord performs a miracle, the unbeliever is sure that, this is the finger of God. The hand of the Lord executes judgement. Every believer who is the work of His hands, must continually seek and court the hands of the Lord upon their lives. You can not get to certain spiritual realms except the hand of the Lord is strong upon you (Isaiah 40:10)
And Joseph brought his two sons that Jacob would lay his hands upon them, it is a contact of the everlasting blessings. Apostle Paul laid hands on Timothy and imparted spiritual gifts unto him. Sometimes the hands of the Lord will come upon us through blessed saints, and we must also be cautious of those who lay hands on us!
At a time like this, the arm of the Lord needs to be revealed to you - you need to identify what His hands can do, you need to believe and pray that His hands does wonders in your life.
OUTSTRETCHED HAND
"but the LORD, who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall offer sacrifice." - 2Kings 17:36
Nothing else delivered the children of Israel from the task master, other than the outstretched hands of God. Anyone who is held in bondage and condemned to pain and hardship, needs the hand of the Lord for a deliverance. If the hand of the Lord is stretched towards a downtrodden, there is hope to get out of misery.
We who go about seeking for miracles and deliverance must never think that, it is the hand of the ministers that does the wonders - yes, sometimes their hands are an extension of the hands of the Lord, but we must know that miracles are mainly a display of the workings of God hands.
Esther longed that the king would stretch his hands with the golden scepter towards her, if the king had not - she would have been condemned to death. This must teach us that, if the Lord does not stretch His hands towards us, we would forever fight a lost battle. It is the outstretched arm of the Lord that brings about deliverance.
"And brought out Israel from among them, for His mercy endures forever; with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for His mercy endures forever." - Psalm 136:11-12
Mercy is the major factor for an outstretched arm, if the Lord looks upon a man with mercy - He would surely stretch His hands towards such, to deliver him. Nothing moves God to work on behalf of a man more than mercy. If you would court the mercy of the Lord - you can be sure He will stretch His hands.
When a person says that the hands are tied, what such a person is implying is that, he or she cannot do anything - because there are constrains. But do you think that the hand of the Lord can ever be tied? Do you think that the mighty hands of the Lord is constrained in your case - so you lost hope? Dear friend, nothing can make God incapacitated - believe that He can stretch His hands to you.
I need you to see the revelation of the hands of God through His words. If you can see the mightiness of His hands, then you can safely hope for a deliverance.
Nothing can restrict His hands. Somebody needs Him to stretch His arm towards them this moment, it is mainly for a deliverance from sickness, demonic torments and hardship - please see His hands stretched towards you now and receive your deliverance in Jesus name.
RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10
Everyone needs a helping hand, even when we think we are capable, a helping hand will save us from being drained. It is important for us to know that it is the righteous hand of God that keeps a man going in the face of persecution. It is the right righteous hand of God that can lead us on the right path and keep us in His right part!
We need to be at the right hand side of God, because at His right hand there are pleasures forever. The pleasures at His right hand is a companion to the lonely, it is strength for the weak and hope for the lost. The right hand of God needs to be demonstrated in our lives so we can gain direction to our destination.
It is the righteous right hand of God that makes a man to be in right standing with God. It is the righteous right hand of God that keeps a man going against all odds. You need the Lord to uphold you with His righteous right hand, then you will be afraid of nothing and people will wonder where your confidence lies.
"The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down." - Psalm 145:14
While Peter became afraid when the storm got boisterous, the Lord was available to uphold lest he would have drowned. I am quite sure that it was the right hand of the Lord that upheld him. Are you on a mission and things have become stormy? You are afraid and it looks like you are drowning. Dear friend, if you cry to Him, His righteous right hand will uphold you.
It is possible that you have drowned and you have no hope. The righteous hand of God can raise you up. I need you to look up and see that God is not just stretching His hand towards you but His righteous right hand. And in case you know what it means to be held up by His hands, please don't let go of His grip, if He upholds you, He will lead you aright.
It is important for me to sound it out into your hears and minds, that it is totally unacceptable for you to hold on to something else while He is upholding you. Many times, when we are being lifted on a stretcher, we may not trust the lifters, we may hold on to walls just as a precaution; but please know this, that, when the Lord upholds you...you must totally trust Him and hold on to nothing, I mean nothing at all.
UNDER HIS HANDS
"the word of the LORD came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was upon him there." - Ezekiel 1:3
It is possible that the hand of the Lord rest on a man, that man whom the hands of the Lord is upon is clearly not on this terrestrial realm, He is operating in the supernatural and the hand of the Lord surely takes him away. A man whom the hand of the Lord has been laid upon - sees revelation about the deep intentions of God.
The hand of God upon a man, could represent the impartation of gift upon him, that is why I consider Paul's laying of hands on Timothy as an extension or representation of God's hand upon him. The anointing upon a man too can represent the hand of God upon His life. A man who is on a genuine mission, no doubt has the hand of God upon him.
Ezekiel was one of the captive when he had this experience, and it clearly points to us that, it doesn't matter what your background is or your situation - the hand of God has no regard for your predicament, if the Word is close to you or comes to you, then you are well situated for a resting of His hands.
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." - 1Pet 5:6
It was the hand of the Lord upon Elijah, that made him outrun the chariot of Ahab. It is the hand of the Lord well rested on a man of humility, that gives God a firm grip on him, thereby lifting him up. The hand of the Lord is mighty, it takes humility to bear the weight!
Those who cannot bear the mighty hands of God upon them go about with pride and they are shouting, 'I am too much!' They don't know that humility is a requirement to be lifted. It is with His mighty hands that He lifts a man, but meekness is a requirement.
In Mark 10:13-16, some very thoughtful children workers decided to bring children to Jesus, so that He might touch them - and after all the arguments with the disciples - Jesus took the children in His arms and laid hands upon them and blessed them. I am so sure that the hand of the Lord upon those little kids was a seal of everlasting blessing.
REJECTING HIS HANDS
"I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts" - Isaiah 65:2
I'm sure you know how it feels when you stretch your hands towards a baby and the baby declines. Even though you are willing to show love and offer the baby things, the baby may still decline. Many of us have continually rejected the hands of God. Sometimes you are too adamant and you refuse and reject His caring hands.
How come you have thought it out by yourself that you don't need His hands to help you. You feel in your pride that you can handle it all by yourself, sometimes you have passed the message across to Him that His hands disrupt your flow. Dear friend, it may not end well if you continue that way.
Some people have the habit of ignoring those loving hands of God that would have comforted them through their difficult moments. It is better to be in God's hands, and receiving His care than complaining when you are going through hard times. Your complaints won't take the difficult times away because it is meant to take you to the next level. It will only be easier, if you go through it while in His arms.
"Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." - Isaiah 59:1-2
You want to be held in His hands yet you don't want to be clean, you want Him to accept you into His embrace and keep you there with your stained life..that is not God's pattern of taking people under His arms. If He takes you, He must clean you and you must remain so. If not, it is a separation that will occur.
A child who has faeces all over, may not be carried by anyone, but if the Lord wants to carry you; you must be willing to take a thorough bath under His blood and remain clean by His word. If you can't deal with this simple terms, then you are actually rejecting His hands.
CONCLUSION:
In humility, Jabez cried out to God that His hands will be with him. You need the hands of God to succeed and breakthrough! Praise the Lord.
God bless you and I love you
