PERFORMANCE OF THE WORD

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it" - Isaiah 55:11

The Word of God is condemned to perform at all time and in all places where it is demanded to perform. Anyone who is wise will know that the Word of God is a movie acted by God Himself.

God is the major actor of the Word and we all of the faith have a perpetual benefit to be audience of the performance of the Word.

Heb 4:12 explains to us that the word is quick and sharp, it explained that it can break and cut...so it is of great insight to note that the Word is not static, the script that it acts on, is the little book we call the Holy Bible.

In every performance, there is an audience, there's a director and of of course the stage by which the Word can performs. This piece will by God's grace try to draw your imaginative prowess to see the Word as a performing agent rather than static letter, bonded in a book.

DEMAND FOR A PERFORMANCE
"Then the centurion answered and said, 'Lord, I am not worthy that You come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.'" - Matt 8:8

Anytime our faith leaps, it demands a performance of the Word. Anytime we come with an expectation into the presence of the Lord via kneeing to pray or worship; we place a demand for the performance of God's word.

The Word that will heal you or make you prosper will not act until you get the knowledge in the script and demand its acting on a stage which is the heart that believes.

Faith gives character to the written word to act, faith pushes the very nature of God into acting His scripts.

All the centurion asked on that day was that; I am an audience who have come to watch the Word perform, and Jesus who at that time was the director became extra motivated to cause the Word to act.

"And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord." - Luke 1:45

If only your heart will ring out in faith, if only you will tell the Lord that the stage of your heart is ready for the acting of His word!

Your stage for the acting of the word is your faith, and this stage doesn't have to be mighty, if it be as little as the mustard seed, God will honour your invitation and act the script of the Word you know.

The person who believes is already a blessed person, because it is a privilege to watch the Word being acted on the stage of your believing heart. How lovely it is when the Lord acts a miracle in my life! It is not first that the miracle is beneficial, but the world too will watch and hear and call me blessed.

Brethren, we are in a season where the Lord is honouring invitation and the main attraction to Him is the faith you have set for Him to act His script of the word upon.

Please, make the stage ready, the veil that separates the audience from the stage has been torn, the Lord just needs your faith on a script so as to give the Word character. Please call for a performance.

DIRECT A PERFORMANCE
"And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, 'As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.'" - 1Kings 17:1

The quality of a performance is largely determined by its director. The quality of a performance of the Word is largely determined by the credibility or genuineness of your demand.

Every director has a mental picture of the performance and if your mental picture of the performance is blurred, the outcome will be blurred.

A person moves from just demanding to directing when he is skilled in the knowledge of the Lord through communion and a growing faith.

Elijah was such a man who could with all confidence direct the word and it acted thus. Even Ahab would have thought it was impossible until the Word played out.

Babes demand the performance, sons direct the performance! Anyone who is led by the Spirit of God becomes a son to direct the acting of the Word to suit audiences. That is, such a person begins to direct so as to benefit the faith of others who are demanding.

A person who directs the performance of the Word must have built a faith through constant demands via the agent or instrumentality of faith.

"Who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers; who says to Jerusalem, 'You shall be built,' and I will raise up her waste places" - Isaiah 44:26

The person who directs the performance of the Word is a messenger of God, these are the people who are eternally condemned to do the bidding of the gospel. It is on the mission field that the director of performance of the word is known. So, understand the calling of the director.

Elijah was such a man who directed the stage play on Mount Carmel and was very confident that the Lord would act to prove His name great. A director of the performance of the word is a mouthpiece of the Most High, no one toys with a director of the Word.

The Lord esteems the demand of His messengers, therefore they command His acts.

"He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel." - Psalm 103:7

The director of the performance of the Word, knows the author of the Word. When he directs, the audience just see the acting but may not recognise the ingenuity of the act.

When a man is on the mission for God, he has the privilege to direct the Word of God to act on behalf of the people who are demanding.
This is indeed worthy of note.

THE OUTDATED DIRECTOR
"Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?" - Lam 3:37

Every director must understand that it is the Lord that commands to speak, if you speak of your own self, it will not perform nothing. Such a director will lose relevance before God and men.

Many have hurriedly decreed a thing without first checking it out with God, many have like Balaam because of greed and gain for bread run into costly errors. Many who have flopped consecration and fallen from grace still think they have credibility to direct a performance of the Word.

"But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die." - Deut 18:20

A man who has lost touch with God will speak presumptuously for God and indeed shall be a walking corpse. Because when a prophet stops being a prophet, such a prophet is dead while he lives.

The seven sons of Sceva who thought they could direct a performance of the word, were so disgraced and they didn't understand that a right standing with God gives credibility to the director of performance. The demon even knew those who directs and only obeys a director of the performance of the Word.

We must make sure to always stay attuned to the Commander, the Lord of Host, in order for Him to always give us a backing and credibility when we direct. This cannot be overemphasised.

WATCH THE PERFORMANCE
"And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pout out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions." - Joel 2:28

The above script played out to an audience many years after as it was written in Acts 2, during the Pentecost.
Everything that is led by the Spirit of God is a script of the Word in action.

It doesn't matter when you encounter the script of the Word, it doesn't matter how long you have suffered in a state, if the Holy Spirit illuminates your heart, then it it time to make men watch a performance of the Word.

How I wish someone's heart will be steered by the Spirit of the Lord this very moment, how I long that the Spirit that made Elijah a director of the Word will fall upon you.
How I pray that the Lord will restore the dignity and credibility of His servants who have erred.

"For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." - Rom 8:19

The Word is still yearning for a performance, and the Lord has His script from ancient past to anyone who can demand and direct its performance. If you can direct your faith to His knowledge, you will demand. If you can be led by the Spirit, you will direct.

CONCLUSION: To him who demands a performance, knowledge of the word and communion is required, to him who wants to direct, the Spirit is necessary as it is not for babes but you must be aware of its demand so you don't become outdated.

God is counting on you in whatever capacity for a performance of His Word.

God bless you and I love you
