AUTHOR & FINISHER

"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Heb 12:2

Everything the believer will become is not outside the script of what Jesus wrote and finished. God planned man's redemption and every of the believer's walk on this earth and even beyond cannot be outside the scripted life of Jesus. He is the Author and finisher; yet He is the main character in our walk of faith.

The believer who looks to God to have a beautiful story has chosen the right part and will walk in the right path. We may feel like we are the authors writing the script of our lives, but we get to certain points where we understand that the pen has to be off our hands - that is the time we encounter Jesus and we surrender to Him to write the beautiful story. There are people who have always chosen what they want to be and how their lives will go; but when it comes to the matter of our faith or beliefs as regards divinity; we cannot be the author. We are just to surrender ourselves to the scripts of the author.

God started writing the story of Abraham when he was in his father's house, at a certain time, Abraham stalled the script, and wouldn't want to leave his family behind - at certain time too, when he decided to hold the pen, he impregnated Hagar his maid by his own self, but the story became disastrous, it had to take mercy I believe, for God to continue the story of his faith. Some have through unbelief or doubts unwittingly taken the pen off God's hand and they have walked their way into the world and ignorantly they think, they can continue from where God stopped - hello, He is the Author and Finisher!

Writers may sometimes have 'blocks', and they just can't proceed from a particular chapter - but that is not the case with God. He knows the end of your story from the beginning. In fact, the story of our faith is all embedded in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. The story is complete for those who will surrender to be implanted as characters in this script!

I am also sure, that if you have, at any certain time given up and decided that you are not ok with your life in the faith - it is because you have not totally surrendered to the roles the Holy Spirit is directing you to play. One of the things you must also take to consideration is that God authored the scriptures and it is a complete work for eternity, nothing can be added to it and nothing can be removed. It has lasted for centuries and will last forever, if we look into this book, we will know what to become in the book of our faith.

IN THE BEGINNING
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." - Gen 1:1-2

You didn't come into existence by accident, even though you are a product of pre-marital sex, or extra-marital affair, let it sink into your heart this moment that, God ordained your life so. Though your life may be without form and maybe your life is filled with void, let it be known this day that He created you!

It is also important that though everyone has their source in God, yet it is not everyone who involves the Source in the affairs of their lives. If you don't let God speak light and start the proper authorship of your life, it will definitely remain empty and in darkness.

No one can really write a story in darkness, though the Author is available, and the story is ready, if there is darkness, nothing will ever be written. In Jesus was life and the life was the light of men. Anyone who will give his or her life to Christ is ready to be scripted into the authorship of Jesus who is the main character. Everything inside the already-made story is complete in Jesus. When we surrender our lives to Jesus; we are only engraved into a beautiful ready-made story.

"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!" - Psalm 139:16-17

The Lord told Jeremiah, that before he was formed, he was known already, and his part in this story of faith is already ordained, but I am sure if Jeremiah had not agreed to the voice of God he wouldn't have featured in the beautiful story God had for him. Whatever your name is, God has a part for you in the beautiful story of faith. Jeremiah is one of the notable prophet in the Bible. You never can tell how beautiful your story will be, but you can be sure it's going to be a good one.

Overtime, stories authored had been adapted into screen plays and all that, and we too are living out the already written story if we are children of light. No one can really play a role in absentia to the given location. We must come to Jesus to ink our stories, we must surrender to the direction of the Holy Spirit to play out the living epistles of Jesus.

I know you have a beginning, but a book isn't complete without the other chapters, a book isn't complete without the ending part, if you don't come to Jesus, you will just be a thought or an inspiration in the mind of Jesus, without any trace of execution or manuscript. Your life on earth is the beginning, but you need a more richer content.

NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION
"For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints." - 1Cor 14:33

I know the above scripture may appear out of context in relation to this topic, but bear with me as regards this matter. There are some people who we may have thought they are acting out the script of Jesus, but they turn out confusing other characters in the story, they leave the church bewildered as to what part they play. Sometimes, one wonders if there ever had a beginning with God.

If God is the author of your life as you claim, why is it that it is the works of the flesh that is more pronounced in you? If you say God is the author of your life, how come you are on the same chapter for so long? He cannot author confusion. We must begin to be clear epistles written clearly on the hearts of men and read by all; if the spoken word is not seen playing out in your life, it will only cause men who read the scriptures more confused.

How come there is confusion and strife anywhere you are? How come contentions rule where you abide, this is not a suspense filled story, it is a tragic one. God cannot be the author of this, at all...If you would be honest with yourself, maybe you will realise that at certain times, you may have decided to write the story of your faith by yourself...but how can you proceed well, since you were not the one who started it. Think my friend.

"So the servants of the owner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?' He said to them; 'An enemy has done this. 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up?'" - Matt 13:27-28

Why should we wake up one morning and discover that the life that was once authored by God is suddenly confusing the brethren, we are at a loss as to what happened that tares are appearing in your life. We could find no other explanation other than; 'An enemy has done this'. But why did you have to give the enemy a chance to alter God's story in your life? You didn't guard your heart with all diligence, you didn't walk the word, so even the people who saw your potentials are now confused.

It is definitely confusing when we see a girl who was brought up in the way of the Lord, who loved Jesus suddenly goes wild because she went to school, she suddenly comes back and she is foul in her conversation, the boy who had all the memory verses offhand now doesn't know the shortest verse of the Bible, He is lost and the people are confused, God cannot be the author of this confused life, the enemy definitely has done this!

And do not justify your confusion as if God has a hand in it, do not go about quoting scriptures out of context so as to feel good about your lost and confused state. You have changed the authorship of your life. Anything that doesn't promote the life of Jesus definitely is confusion unto you and those around. Get that right please.

BETTER THE END OF A MATTER
"The end of a thing is better than its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." - Ecc 7:8

How we love those happy ending fairytale stories, how we love to see that at the end of all the episodes and chapters, bliss crowns the whole thing up. Though we may have been caught in suspense, tears flowing down as we play out our lives in the life of Jesus; yet when it all comes to an end, we can trust that it is better than a fairytale.

For that person who have dedicated his or her life to living under the authorship of Jesus, you can be sure that this Author would end your story well. In fact, the story ended well already, He is risen and we have the promised Holy Ghost within us, but we can also know that, the Holy Spirit even helps us reach a happier ending and that is reigning with Christ forever - this happy ending transcends the now.

Samson at a certain time put on hold the authorship of God in his life and though it looked as if the script was lost and the inspiration gone, somehow along the line, the life meant for doom ended well. He was mentioned as one of the heroes of faith in Hebrews chapter 11. It doesn't matter how the authorship of your life began, but at any point you desire a happy ending; God will surely give it to you.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." - Rom 8:28

When God writes at any point, it becomes beautiful; it seems Rehab the prostitute never had a wonderful beginning, she was the city prostitute, but when she allowed God author her life through the spies, she became one of the great grand mothers of our Lord Jesus.

It doesn't matter when you began to love God, it doesn't matter whether the better half of your life has been used to hate Christians; if He writes your story at twilight, you will see that the dawn will birth a new ending for your destiny. The end of the authorship always bears something good.

If God can write the end part of your life; you can be sure that it is a finished work He has done, because the end will be better; it doesn't matter the stories the beginning and the mid chapters gave portrayed, God can still give you a happy ending. You have to trust Him to do this. You have to surrender your life to the finished work of Christ's life. This is a story you must feature in.

CONCLUSION:
You need a new beginning from Christ, and make sure you are not in confusion. God can re-write your story to have a better ending.

God bless you and I love you
